A Turkish deep-tech startup developing next-generation battery materials at the frontier of energy storage science.
To develop state-of-the-art, high energy density and long cycle life lithium-ion batteries — enabling the next generation of electric mobility and renewable energy storage.
To pioneer the field of renewable-based energy storage — a prerequisite for keeping the Earth habitable and accelerating the global clean energy transition.
ErgCell Energy Technologies Inc. was founded in January 2020 at METU Technopolis (ODTÜ Teknokent) in Ankara, Turkey — one of the country's premier technology parks and innovation hubs. The company was built on the Techno-entrepreneurship (Teknogirişim) grant awarded by TÜBİTAK, the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey.
In May 2020, KOSGEB — the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization — further supported ErgCell through its R&D and Innovation program, reinforcing the company's foundation in applied materials science.
Since then, ErgCell has expanded its activity to engineering services — delivering technical projects to industrial partners in the battery and energy storage sector, while building a bridge between Turkish battery materials expertise and the European energy ecosystem.
From inception, ErgCell has been supported by Turkey's most prestigious research and innovation funding bodies.
Founded and headquartered at ODTÜ Teknokent — Turkey's premier university-linked technology park, fostering deep-tech startups and applied research since 2001.
The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey — awarded the Teknogirişim (Techno-entrepreneurship) grant that launched ErgCell's materials research program.
The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization — provided additional support through the R&D and Innovation program, enabling expanded research capacity.
We are actively exploring partnerships with research institutions, industrial partners, and EU program consortia. Let's build the future of energy storage together.
